SSC Art Contest

Art competitions provide an exciting way for creatives of all ages to engage with the artistic community. The enthusiasm and passion surrounding these contests is contagious. Seeing the fresh perspectives and creativity of fellow artists can be truly inspirational.

The process of conceptualizing your vision, problem-solving through techniques, and seeing your imagination come to life is both rewarding and fun. Art competitions give you an opportunity to fully immerse yourself in your craft. You can channel all your skills into producing a meaningful piece to share with others.

Contest Rules

The contest is open to contestants of all ages and abilities. The artwork mustt be submitted at a SSC Location. You can also mail the artwork in to 47 Bethpage Road, Hicksville, NY 11801.

If you have dropping off your artwork, be sure to call ahead to ensure we’re available. You can reach us at 1-888-840-0868. Each artist is allowed 1 artwork. The artwork can be of any medium, form or expression. This includes but isn’t limited to painting, arts and crafts, crochet, digital art, and more.

Who can join?

Open to all ages
Beginner learners recommended

Prizes

First Place: $250
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50

All participants will receive a certificate from Smart Start Centers.

Artists will be FEATURED on Smart Start Social Media & Website

How To Participate

1.Create your artwork related to the theme.

2. Send your artwork and a short bio in an envelope to any Smart Start Centers location.

3. Share your art on social media and tag us using #SmartStartCenterPositiveMessage
